Precision and intelligence make the difference in the hunt for bark beetles

MW Group has started it’s 2022 Forest Sense season with a specialized project to hunt the most destructive forest pest in the Nordics – Ips Typographus, also known as the European Spruce Bark Beetle.

The potent tree-killing pests have devastated coniferous forests in Europe creating economic losses in the billions of euros. Additionally, bark beetle destruction has severely disrupted many forest ecosystems, exacerbating challenges posed by climate change.

MW Groups experts collect data from the field with its geospatial solutions. Our co-owned company Arbonaut analyzes the datasets using advanced machine-learning tools and decades of forestry experience.

The precise information, what we call forest intelligence, enables our clients to make value-driven decisions about their forests and counter bark beetle destruction.

We are MW Group – serving a stronger society!
